The Spartanburg Science Center offers a Robotics Club for Kids two Mondays every month during the school year. It is from 4:00 -5:30 pm in the science center. Kids work with a certified teacher to learn all about robotics and their development and use. Legos are used during this camp to design and create robots that complete different tasks assigned. Parents can watch what is happening via a website that is only for camp members and their parents.
With STEM and STEAM being the focus of many elementary schools, this club offers creative and individual learning. Our challenges are based on problem solving and correlation to books that kids have read. From this club, we form Jr. FLL Lego Robotic teams that compete in March at Chapman Cultural Center sponsored by the Spartanburg Science Center. It is not a requirement to join the team, just those interested. We strive to offer the widest variety of robotics in the area. It is hands-on learning at its best!
This is the second year for our club. It is for girls and boys, ages 6-10 years old that are interested in Legos, Robotics, Engineering and fun! Many of our club members have siblings that attend ballet or art classes. Please call for more information or come by and see for yourself on Monday, September 12, 2016 at 4:00 pm.
