Hatcher Garden and Woodland Preserve Amphibians and reptiles will be observed in their natural habitat during the following months: September, October, April, and May. Plants can be observed all year. Natural Areas Field Trips Available Lake Johnson - Pond ecology and wildlife Pacolet River Heritage Preserve - Soapstone rock outcrops Cottonwood Trail - Beautiful marsh trail Sumter National Forest (all-day trip) - Wildlife management and forestry Duncan Park - Turtle viewing at marsh lake Glenndale Shoals Other day trip destinations and even overnight trips further a field can be arranged |
