Our Rooms

Thanks to a generous gift from Contec Inc, the Center secured a 675 sq foot space that has extended our footprint on the second floor of the Chapman Cultural Center and is home to the new Contec Children’s STEM LAB. The Contec Children’s STEM LAB hosts several new programs including Stepping into STEM, STEM Storytime, and Standards-Based programs for our littlest learners!

Our live animal room is home to nearly 100 individual animals across more than 40 species of reptiles, amphibians, fish, and invertebrates. We are Spartanburg County’s premier provider of hands-on animal-based education opportunities. Animal care tracking software generously provided by Husbandry Pro

Milliken Learning Space opens for extended STEAM programming at the Center.
Thanks to a generous gift from Milliken & Co. the Science Center was able to annex a new space adjacent to the museum for extended programming. The Milliken Learning Space will host summer camps, after school robotics club, and sessions for lifelong learners starting in 2022. A beautiful new mural was created for the space by local artist Jeremy Kemp. Contact mlevens@spartanarts.org to reserve the space for your future meetings and events!
